This isn’t good, HTC EVO 4G owners. It looks like the EVO 4G”s recent bump to Android 2.3 Gingerbread has caused Netflix to go haywire, haywire in the sense that playback has stopped working. Netflix has been acting up since EVO owners saw Gingerbread and today, Netflix confirmed that the Android 2.3 software is the one to blame.

Well, HTC ThunderBolt, the Samsung Droid Charge, the Motorola Droid X, the Motorola Droid X2, and the Droid 2 just to name a few of the devices. The Sprint HTC EVO 4G Forum reports a workaround for clearing the voice notifications glitch. The update includes the download manager, SMS bug fixes, battery improvements and Gmail Fox synching on multiple accounts.

From the main menu, Tap Menu> Tap Settings> Tap System updates> Tap HTC Software update> Tap Check Now> Tap OK> Tap Yes.

To clear voicemal notifications, use this workaround:  Settings/Call/Clear Notifications.

Enhancements/Fixes in update to software version 4.22.651.2:
  • SMS are intermittently sent to wrong and seemingly random contact.
  • "Me" instead of "Yo" in SMS thread conversations when set to Spanish.
  • Unable to stream media through some applications after updating to 3.70.
  • Email attachments are not displayed in the mail client.
  • Multiple Gmail accounts no longer sync after FroYo update.
  • Fix for battery discharge issue.
  • Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
  • Downloads management - The Downloads application gives the user easy access to any file downloaded from the browser, email, or another application.
Note: HTC Sense updates are not included in this upgrade
